N° 85 | Winter-Spring 2023-2024
Take a break and breathe… It’s time for winter to work its magic in Crans-Montana, in a natural setting that is a work of art. Take a look around and you’ll see natural and thought-out beauty everywhere. I hope you enjoy reading La Vie à Crans-Montana. You might be someone who thinks that reading inspires dreams and is a source of happiness and ideas. You might find inspiration in the opportunity to switch off and recharge your batteries, on a pair of touring skis perhaps, or on foot maybe, on the Lantern Trail and in good company, on an evening of wonder. Or how about strolling through streets lined with decorations and picking up a gift or two for the people who matter in your life? This issue pays tribute to noble attitudes that put the accent on service, the kind of mindsets that improve people’s lives, prolong them and bring support and help. It is attitudes such as these that enhance self-esteem, allowing younger generations to identify and develop their skills, for example. This issue also extols the virtues of music as it rings around Crans-Montana, channelling and expressing emotions and moving and inspiring people. It reminds us that reading has the power to educate, take us on a journey, and fire our imaginations, that drawing brings a smile to faces, and that playing sport brings satisfaction, keeps you fit and healthy, and lends meaning to life. This issue is also a reminder that projects both big and small push us on with vigour towards a shared objective. Talking of big projects, there’s 2027 and the World Ski Championships, which are coming to Crans-Montana for the second time!
